In May 31, 2014 Marijampolė‘s Meilės Lukšienės education centre, former Synagogue, opened its doors for the art gallery of Beatričė Klezaitė-Vasaris.
Beatričė Kleizaitė-Vasaris (born 1925) is a director, teacher, librarian, public and cultural figure, supporter of art. Because of her outstanding efforts thousands of art pieces from Lithuanian immigrants were returned to Lithuania. It included Adomas Galdikas, Vytautas Kašuba, Vytautas Ignas, Albinas Elskus, Viktoras Vizgirda, Romas Viesulas, Pranas Gailius, Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas and other authors’ creative legacies. As well as, the Grand Duke Gediminas monument welfare fund, the Archcathedral and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania monument to the Grand Duke Gediminas created by Vytautas Kašuba (1915-1997). She donated over 400 artworks to Marijampolė
